Pastor Ronald L. Mayo

Pastor Ronald L. Mayo is founder and Senior Pastor of United Christian Fellowship Ministries in Lake Charles, a city of 70,000 in southwest Louisiana.  This ministry began in August of 1989 in response to the call of God upon Pastor Mayo’s life and a vision to reach lost souls for the kingdom of God. With a phenomenal anointing, a practical preaching style and an unparalleled commitment to prayer, Pastor Mayo, a true visionary, began to lead his eight-member congregation by faith.

With a focus on the total family concept of ministry, United Christian Fellowship Church began to experience rapid growth. In less than ten years this small congregation grew to over 800 members and had to establish multiple services to accommodate its membership in the original 500 seat sanctuary.  In 1996, with over one million dollars in savings, $400,000 in assets and no debt, United Christian Fellowship began construction on  its current $2.4 million sanctuary and administrative complex on seven acres of church owned property.  The mortgage on this immaculate 27,400 square foot facility was paid off in three years.

In 2000, God directed Pastor Mayo to embark upon a simultaneous, $3 million acquisition and construction project. A new state of the art 19,000 square foot gymnasium and Child Development Center was completed in August of 2001 and was dedicated in the memory of Savannah and Lennis Mayo, the deceased parents of Pastor Mayo and his ten siblings.  While these new facilities were under construction, UCF purchased Twelve Oaks Plantation for $1.5 million. This 250  acre compound will serve as location for the future United Christian Fellowship World Outreach Center. The master site development plan includes a 5000 seat auditorium, a retreat facility with cabins, a recreation complex, a water park, go-cart tracks, tennis courts, softball and soccer fields, bike trails, fishing ponds and other facilities for major conferences, concerts and ministry training seminars.

Under the leadership of Pastor Mayo, a talented staff and a wonderful congregation of saints, United Christian Fellowship continues to raise the standards of excellence in ministry to the body of Christ and the community at large. You are always welcome at United Christian Fellowship, a church on the move, reaching the world.
